Mdina Ditch
It is difficult to imagine that during the regeneration process, some 300 trees—mostly citrus, olive, and cypress trees—were formerly found in Mdina Ditch. Those trees were then carried away. That time, the citrus grove was replaced with a harsh mixture of stone paving, lawn, and potted trees, and the bastions were also renovated. It’s incredibly pleasant to look at, and exploring the area and taking in the amazing restoration work that has been completed in recent years was a lot of fun. It enhanced the Mdina’s appeal, in my opinion.
